Overview

Improving the Lives of Girls & Women

The Patrina Foundation has been at the forefront of accessing inequities in our society through a gender lens.  Founded in 1990 by Lorinda de Roulet, Patrina supports in-community organizations focused on improving the lives of girls and women in the New York City greater metropolitan area through education, enrichment, job training, and social services supports.  When lifting up the girls and women, the entire community benefits. For 30 years, the Patrina Foundation has supported grassroots organizations and pilot programs as they break new ground addressing  the unique needs of the girls and women they serve.

Thank you, Kara, for 17 years of dedicated leadership.

With heartfelt appreciation, we recognize Kara McLoughlin D’Angelo as she steps down after more than 17 years of dedicated service as the Executive Director of the Patrina Foundation.

Kara’s steadfast leadership has had a profound impact on the Foundation, our partners, and the women and girls we support. Her tireless commitment and thoughtful guidance carried us through the unbelievable challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under Kara’s leadership, the Foundation remained resilient and responsive, ensuring our continued support of organizations making a difference in the lives of women and girls- who themselves face myriad challenges. She has been a trusted advisor to our Board and a passionate advocate of those programs dedicated to the service of others.

We thank Kara for her years of service and wish her all the best in her next endeavor.
